How to Have an Extremely Inexpensive Vacation

Need a vacation but you can't spend much money? What about if you can't spend ANY money at all? The vacation is all mental, you just have to know how to make an everyday trip feel like the trip of a lifetime. And remember, if you want to have a vacation for no money at all, you have to think SMALL, and OUTSIDE the box.

Find a destination that has amenities that fit you, and is within walking or bike riding distance from your house. That way it's either a very short drive, or you could walk to your vacation destination. If you crave warm, sunny days under the sun (such as beaches) try a vacation to the mall, under a skylight next to fountain.

Purchase/gather any necessary items you need to make sure your vacation is as real as it gets. So if you're going to take some RnR to the mall, why not bring an inflatable palm tree to set the mood right?

Invite as many friends as you want. Whats a vacay without a posse?

Once it comes time to depart for wherever you're headed, get a good night sleep before hand, wake up early, and stop at Starbucks.

When you arrive at your destination, be sure to check in with customs first if you are visiting in a foreign country. After that, find the place you plan to spend the most time.

• For your first few trips, try different destinations until you find a personal favorite. When you do find a favorite, don't be afraid of going back to it.

• Dining is an important aspect of all vacations. Depending on how much money you bring and plan to spend, you should arrange beforehand what you plan to eat and how much it will cost you.
